Computer Rooms

Library computers are available for study purposes. Please sign in using your BUT account. There are three computer study rooms: the Red Room (26 seats), the Blue Room (30 seats) and the Yellow Room (21 seats).

Hardware

  • computers with internet access
  • workstations with 27″ Philips monitors for connecting your own laptop – available throughout the Yellow Room and at three designated desks in the Textbook Study Room II
  • 5 Xerox VersaLink C7020 A4/A3 colour multifunction printers
  • 2 HP DesignJet A0 large-format colour printers
  • 4 Epson GT-20000 A3 flatbed scanners
  • i2S DigiBook e-Scan A3+ and i2S CopiBook A2+ book scanners
  • a Contex HD ULTRA X 4250 large-format scanner with a scanning width of up to 1,067 mm

Software

General-Purpose Software

All computers have Windows 11, Microsoft Office, standard web browsers and applications for file management and working with PDF documents, graphics and multimedia.

Computers connected to scanners in the Blue Room also have Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Acrobat XI installed.

In the Yellow Room, AutoCAD 2026, Civil 3D 2026, Revit 2026 and Lumion 2024 are unavailable on even-numbered computers KICZLU02–KICZLU16 and on computers KICZLU17, KICZLU19 and KICZLU21.

Software Requiring a Personal Account

  • DEKSOFT and the DEK Construction Library – registration and a DEK account required
  • KROS online – a free BIM platform account required
  • SCIA – registration and a SCIA student account required

Equipment Available to Borrow

The following items are available to borrow for use within the library:

  • an external USB DVD drive
  • a USB flash drive
  • KOSS Porta Pro headphones

Wi-Fi
