Access to Electronic Resources
Electronic information resources provide access to academic databases, journals, books, and other scholarly materials for study, teaching, and research.
On the BUT Network
Access is automatic on computers connected to the BUT network.
Outside the BUT Network
For remote access, you can use:
- EZproxy – log in using your BUT username and password.
- Shibboleth – log in using your BUT username and PIN, if supported by the resource.
- VPN – connect to the BUT network using your BUT username and PIN.
Terms of Use
When using electronic resources, please comply with the licence terms specified for each resource:
- Use articles and other documents only for your own study, teaching, or research.
- Do not download entire books or journal issues – only individual chapters and articles.
- Do not share downloaded documents with others.
- Save downloaded documents only to your own device.
- Always cite the sources you use correctly.
Bulk or automated downloading is strictly prohibited. Violating these rules may result in access being blocked for the entire BUT community!
